What does it take to design and place concrete paving mixtures that will help agencies meet their goals for carbon footprint reduction? What are the shared performance benefits? Techniques and strategies are mature and can be picked up now. The fundamentals of the new Guide for Reducing Cradle-to-Gate Embodied Carbon Emissions Paving Concrete will be illustrated for practitioners seeking to build their workforce and collaborate with contractors. This workshop will bring industry and agency partners who have begun to practice these principles to share their approaches taken and experience gained. Future directions will be explored for continued development.
